server merger on WAR = EPIC PHAIL!

i just think it is ridiculous that i hafta forfeit my main's name (that i chose before launch!) because mythic force transferred them over to a sever in which that name was already taken. and is taken on the remaining liiike...8 servers that survived this zerg of stupidity. i would gladly of kept playing on my low pop server where i have happily been for the past 6 months if it meant i could keep my old name.

don't get me wrong, i like WAR, but mythic dropped the ball on this one hardcore!

a dreamer in a not so dreamy land

  • Feb. 9th, 2009 at 8:13 AM
in the early hours of this morning, i had a dream. one in which this whole thing was turned topsy turvy...you weren't there at all; gone completely from the life that i lived. maybe i was once used to that life, but now i could never go back. sure, the places were all the same-hell,even some of the faces but it didn't matter because all i kept asking them for was you. after awaking from this on a point that was too late for yesterday, but too early for tomorrow, my face began to feel funky and i found my blankets had managed their way onto the floor. i didn't remember it then-no, only the trouble i knew i was going to have falling back asleep. but now i remember it all. perhaps too clearly; like it's my curse...or my message. i think it's trying to tell me something-you can't take these things for granted. even now thinking about it makes me eyelids tickle and makes me pray i have the strength to find you closer to me.

i lay with you, this velvet morning
stay with me, for a while
where we run to, is up to you
just stay with me, for a while

a dark day for the dark knight

-etc-etc-i think you get the picture (unlike the dark knight)
sorta kinda absurd., sorta kinda inexcusable...i act shocked, but i guess i don't know why. it's probably because of all the six times i saw the dark knight in its very prosperous theatrical run i always heard comments from other film goers when walking out of the movie that sounded something like, "that movie was epic!" or "i can't believe how good that was!"...etc etc. never once do i recall walking to my car after the showing and hear the guy walking next to me with his girlfriend say "holy shit! the sound mixing in that movie was phenomenal!" i guess that's my own fault for not paying attention, obviously this movie showcased some AMAZING strengths liiike cinematography, sound editing, and mixing...but clearly its shattering of box office records proves that a film like "the reader" is better suited for the category. bah! to the devil with it!...someone once told me that it seems like they really do hate giving awards to comic book adaptions, granted this one blows all others out of the water, the undeniable ignorance shown here tends to support that claim.

in any case-i think this speaks volumes to that effect:

http://www.holytaco.com/god-expresses-his-anger-over-dark-knight-oscar-snub

i know some people will read this, and say how i'm wrong, blah? blah. blah! but that's always the way. in this case, i guess the numbers speak for themselves, there's not really much else i need to say.

In Depth Look

stumbled upon this site in an early morning google search. anyone who is a fan of B:TAS, TNBA, or even BB should check it out. i haven't read all of them yet, but it gives a real good review/analysis of the episodes, especially the B:TAS ones. not to mention it lets you play the title card sound and has sum really good screen caps.

Once again...

i just don't feel like myself. i guess, it's kinda crushing, kinda lame, kinda awful. sure, we all go through these awkwardly sad teenage moments (or tis it young adult?-i'm not quite sure) and every time we say this time will be different. it can probably be attested to that it never is, but what if---what if this time---it really is?

it would be weird for this post to become somewhat of a serious outreach given the absurdity of 97% of my posts on this site, but hell who cares? on every train now-a-days i see lovers, i see friends. and she's always on my mind. sometimes i feel like there's no place to be other than the place where she stands at this very moment in time. and that kills me because well, frankly, that's not where i am.

of course, there's no way to tell anyone this, strangers wonder why you're speaking to them, and everyone you know doesn't seem to "get it". but then again, maybe that's the point of it. maybe that's the beauty of it. maybe the one who you are having these rapturous thoughts about is the only one who will understand. and in the end, that should be what matters.

but that's not an easy message to manage. for me, anyways. there's no simple way of telling a certain young lady that i hallucinate her in the place of almost every other woman, or that these past few nights i have been lying awake in bed wondering what would happen if i could get up, get dressed, and drive across state lines to her. something tells me, that she is not alone though. something tells me she never feels alone. is it this that makes me believe all these thoughts are wasted? is it impossible that she has never been alone? i'm not quite sure...they say the only people who fail to believe impossible things are the ones that have not had much practice in doing so.

gradually we realize what is felt is not so important
(however lovely or cruel) as what the feeling contains.
not what happens to us in childhood, but what was
inside what happened.

Epic.

Someone Who Knows What's Up

this guy :

http://nextbatmanbadguy.blogspot.com/2008/08/ventriloquist-and-scarface.html

personally , i think it is a brilliant idea. everyone that wants nolan to cast the riddler or catwoman is silly. in addition to the fact that both have been done before, they bring to the table only aspects that we don't need to see done right after they were done in TDK. for starters, the riddler is more of a brainy character, which puts nolan in quite a problem, imo. he his now forced to come up with a definitive riddler, which is hard because the riddler is, essentially, a cerebral criminal mastermind. but that is what the joker was porrtrayed as in TDK. if the riddler is played like this in the 3rd film, everyone will call him a rip-off of heath's now popular joker. and if he's crazy as he was in the adam west show, or in forever, it will fail to be true to the character and will suck like jim carrey's riddler, which was based off stupid gimmicks and pranks. if they become set in the way of using riddler-they will need another villain to help take some pressure of him. as for catwoman, the movie will just pickoff with another romantic sub-plot, like the one that ended in TDK. i don't know why people always expect these kinda stories? B:TAS didn't have many of these outside episodes with catwoman and talia, and was, imo, better than any of the live action films.

to stop these problems, for me, there seems to be one clear-cut answer.---and that is scarface&the ventriloquist. it forces the smash&beat up skull crusher batman to take on an intelligent aspect that has kinda lacked in most of the films. athough the riddler would do this as well, scarface brings rhino to the table>>>bringing intelligence&muscle to gotham while still keeping with one villain. this also gives nolan's series to turn the story's focus to the mob, which was something that TDK really helped to set up for. sure, you could even say black mask and scarface having a gang war for territory would be nice, but i would suggest just sticking with scarface. TDK really helped to bring about how things are only going to get worse in gotham, and i think the ventriloquist really helps to capture that kind of insanity. scarface is also a mental threat to wesker himself-and an inner conflict with the villain is something we have really yet to see, so that would be a nice new addition, imo. all-in-all i think it fits perfect. there could even be a mystery as to who is running clock-work crime around gotham ("read my lips") and then later revealed to be scarface. as TDK proved with the joker, we don't need explanations to the villains backstory to make them good, and if they did scarface the way they did him in B:TAS and the comics, it would be portrayed in a light where it is unclear if the dummy is indeed alive, maybe doing a scene with scarface and the ventriloquist, and moving scarface's mouth without wesker's and then going back in later and adding the puppet's voice would be true to B:TAS in which wesker's mouth never moved, even in the slightest, toying with the idea if the puppet was indeed alive.---casting rhino in a real life proportion would be the only problem i see with this idea. although i'm sure with camera angles they can make an actor seem bigger than he really is---so it might be okay, because it'd probably be difficult to find a man who stands about 8'6" and weighs in around 450lbs of solid muscle, ha. other than that i don't see any idea why scarface&the ventriloquist isn't a suitable canidate for the 3rd batman film. after all nolan did say he wanted to do a villain that has never been on the big screen before. so here's to hoping...

As for Holly, she was simply necessary to him; it was unthinkable for him to renounce her. For a long time, for several years already, he had been having delectable dreams of marriage, but he kept hoarding up money and waited. In deepest secret, he entertained rapturous thoughts of a well-behaved and poor girl (she must be poor), very young, very pretty, well born and educated, very intimidated, who had experienced a great many misfortunes and was utterly cowed before him, a girl who would all her life regard him as her salvation, stand in awe of him, obey him, wonder at him and him alone.

anew.
